Hendrick Polanco My Deepest Condolences June 24, 2019

My deepest condolences.  May these few words from the Holy Scriptures bring you comfort in your time of grief...

John 11:32-45

32 And so Mary, when she arrived where Jesus was and caught sight of him, fell at his feet, saying to him: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping and the Jews that came with her weeping, groaned in the spirit and became troubled; 34 and he said: “Where have YOU laid him?” They said to him: “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus gave way to tears. 36 Therefore the Jews began to say: “See, what affection he used to have for him!” 37 But some of them said: “Was not this [man] that opened the eyes of the blind man able to prevent this one from dying?”

38 Hence Jesus, after groaning again within himself, came to the memorial tomb. It was, in fact, a cave, and a stone was lying against it.39 Jesus said: “TAKE the stone away.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to him: “Lord, by now he must smell, for it is four days.”40 Jesus said to her: “Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Therefore they took the stone away. Now Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 True, I knew that you always hear me; but on account of the crowd standing around I spoke, in order that they might believe that you sent me forth.” 43 And when he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice: “Laz´a·rus, come on out!” 44The [man] that had been dead came out with his feet and hands bound with wrappings, and his countenance was bound about with a cloth. Jesus said to them: “Loose him and let him go.”

45 Therefore many of the Jews that had come to Mary and that beheld what he did put faith in him;

Katie Woodward Remembering... September 16, 2009
I work in Gruene and I often like to take my lunch to the riverside and watch the waterflow. I often thought about Andy and how he passed after seeing the white cross day after day. I decided to Google him and I am touched by what I have found. I wish nothing but the best for Andy's family. RIP

The town of Gruene and the Gruene Rd bridge has always been a special spot for me. That is why I moved to Gruene 3 months ago.  I'm sorry Andy lost his life there.  The bridge is gone and a newer safer one is replacing it.  I walk by Andy's memorial daily and I promise y'all, his friends and family, that I will make sure it stays there and keep it clean of trash and debris.

We bowled together in the 80's, we were the "Poco Locos".  We were not very good but we had alot of fun.  I hadn't seen Andy in years but I can still see that smile and I remember how his eyes would light up when he smiled.  He was such a gentle and kind person.  I will always remember him.

Uncle Andy was the BEST uncle in the world. Every one loved him. I know i do. I will miss him MUCHO.

And I was the one who wrote WWAD on my tie die shirt.

Colleen WWAD July 19, 2007
"WWAD" is what Andy's great niece wrote on a tye dye shirt. What Would Andy Do? He would take a drink, light a cigarette, and say, "I love you most." Andy was the most positive person I have ever known. He will live on with me forever.We will all benefit with the memory of WWAD.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of ya'lls family. I got the greatest gift. I got to know Andy. He never stopped smiling, never stopped living, and never stopped giving hugs. There were many times when a hug from Andy was all that was needed to make my day better. He will be missed and loved everyday in my heart. I cherish every memory I have about Andy and I always will no matter what.
Sven Thoughts about Andy July 19, 2007
I believe something that could truly be said about Andy is that his friends were family and his family were his friends.

The way that Andy led his life is a fine example for all of us going forward in our own lives. While his loss is devastating, there are so many people with so many wonderful memories of Andy to keep some of that positive vibe he shared with us for a very long time.

I am extremely saddened to learn of your loss.  Andy was such a positive and happy person and always passed it on to others.  I first met him in New York before he moved to Texas.  I just regret that I didn't see him more in the past few years.  Never the less I share your grief deeply.  He was a wonderful person.
